Founded in 1910 as the 18th Rotary Club in the world, the Rotary Club of Cleveland’s mission is to provide its members with service, networking, and educational opportunities at the local, regional, national, and international levels.
To commemorate its 100th anniversary, the Club brought the 2010 Tall Ships Festival to Cleveland as its gift to the people of the City and surrounding region.
A lasting legacy of that event was Project YESS (Youth Empowered to Succeed through Sailing), a sail-training leadership program for underserved youth. To build upon the success of the YESS Program and continue our service to the community, the Rotary Club of Cleveland is organizing and managing the Port of Cleveland 2013 Tall Ships Festival, which will once again bring thousands of people to the Cleveland lakefront for four days of family-oriented activities.
The Rotary Club of Cleveland is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization operated for the betterment and promotion of social welfare in Cleveland, Northeast Ohio and the World. All net proceeds generated from the Tall Ships Festival will be used to support our mission. See www.clevelandrotaryclub.com for more information about our contribution to the community.
